Last week was my first rendition of my Weekly Creative Work Round Up, where I combine everyday creative endeavors, ‘fit pics, and other aspects of art/writing/life balance to discuss ways in which I’ve worked to strengthen my creative muscles through the week.
Fewer than past weeks. I did manage to post about my free closet makeover and explored if you should read your teen’s text messages.

I was in charge of the class craft this week, so I made up a demo Valentines Holder
…and prepped the supplies for 17 others for the kids to make and design
My oldest and I made homemade valentines from preschool through fifth grade & my youngest and I are following through with the same tradition. This year he wanted to do Spider-Man.
The boys made a snowman. I helped with the base and I found the sticks for the arms. I won’t take responsibility for the way the design evolved.
The little one made a couple characters by cutting a sheet of paper then adding marker details and told me to do the same. I didn’t finish, but it wasn’t nothing!

And throughout the streets of the City over the weekend
There was a snow day (Tuesday) and a day off for President’s Day weekend (Friday) + Valentine’s Day (Wednesday), + much of Monday was dedicated to preparing for and hosting the classroom craft. We were in the city all weekend. BU-SY. And overstimulated. When I had a moment to myself, I chose to stick my nose in a book.
