This juried fine art and fine craft festival features the creative works of over 75 juried artists from local to national talent. They will exhibit a wide variety of media including, photography, drawing, ceramics, jewelry, painting, mixed media, printmaking, fiber, metal sculpture and glass.
Inspired by the Ram Dass quote, “We’re all just walking each other home,” this exhibition invites artists to reflect on the many definitions of home. Home may exist as a physical space, or as something we build together through care, connection, and shared experience. Artists are encouraged to explore how a sense of “home” is experienced; through the places we inhabit, the history we carry, and the people who shape our lives.

The Art Walk is an annual one-day event features the best of Southeastern Connecticut’s and Southern Rhode Island’s art scene. The event is free to the public and attracts visitors from across New England and beyond.
The event has quickly become known as a mecca for great local art and art-loving patrons. A well-curated assortment of over 60 artists across 10 genres, including painters, illustrators, textile artists, sculptors, potters, makers, and photographers, line Water Street and fill charming courtyards with tents and tables.
I was asked to join a few color lovin' painting buddies from the Weir Farm Artist's Collective for a group show. Alongside Maria Reed, Jama Hansonbrook & Chris Bedell, I have seven works on display in the South Salem Winery's new art gallery space now through July.
The Weir Farm Artist Collective is a collaboration of independent artists with a shared appreciation for Weir Farm National Historical Park, home of American Impressionist J. Alden Weir.
Piece by Piece is a 6-foot high by 8-foot wide installation based upon an original work of art broken up into a grid of 48 square sections, with each panel having been created by a different member of the Artists Collective of Westport. Without knowing the identity of the featured artwork, each artist was given a printout of one of the 12” x 12” sections from the mural, and a blank panel onwhich to create their interpretation of it in any medium. The end result of this project is an entertaining exercise in community, creativity, and collaboration.
