We’ve been busy around the Oreta household! No time to update all the way, but I’ll give you a little peak into a recent highlight.
A little over two weeks ago, Tobias took his very first solo flight.
He stayed with my sister and her husband for a few days in Estes Park, Colorado and had a blast snowboarding and enjoying Rocky Mountain National Park.
While he was doing that, his dad and I took a romantic vacation to PARIS!
While we were there, we met up with a couple of our close friends who were at the tail end of a little tour d’Europe.
Together, we ate at several patio cafes, noshed on escargot, crepes and croque monsieurs, saw a cabaret show, and Mark commissioned an artist to sketch a portrait of us.
We also got lost in the Louvre…
Everyone but my unborn son and I drank a lot of french wine, and we had a romantic walk along the Seine River, late at night with the City of Lights all lit up.
We shared two more days just the two of us in Paris, but maybe I’ll get to that another day. Maybe not, based on post history. This post was primarily to showcase the Romantic Paris maternity shoot we had done by L’Amour De Paris.
Cheyenne was great, and gave amazing direction to Mark and I so we didn’t look like the awkward turtles we turn into in front the camera. I found out about their team from a high school acquaintance of mine and blogger Faison Anne.
As you’ll see from the photos, my favorites were mostly those that showed Mark and I holding hands and walking. Paris is known to be a vacation destination with a LOT of walking, so I was nervous choosing it as our babymoon destination. But much of my favorite memories from the trip were of him carrying my bags, walking hand in hand, enjoying the sights, him helping me up the stairs and waiting as I caught my breath.
Overall, the way that he showed me love and support in this pregnancy in an above-and-beyond, gentlemanly way throughout the streets of the most romantic city in the world. The same way he’s helped raise our nine year old, and what I know he’ll do for our new baby.Enough yammering from me. I’ll let the rest of the pictures speak for themselves.
