Commissioned Digital Painting: Jolly Mrs. Colly

Fairfield Connecticut Artist digital painting of Mrs. Claus thumnail

Last week, I shared my first digital painting created with Art Rage on the blog and to my town’s local Facebook group page. The response was overwhelmingly positive! The president of the Southport Fire Department said she’ll be hanging it up in the station, I’m in contact with the Sasquanaug Association about a project after the holidays, and I received a commission for a digital painting for our local Mrs. Claus.

What’s great about incorporating digital painting into my art practice is that I can paint on the go & have a commission on my easel and a commission on my family iPad. This weekend we drove to Washington D.C. for a family trip, yet I was able to complete this print in time to ship before Christmas.

I used a reference photo from my collector & adjusted the composition with personal photos of mine to tell the story I wanted to share.
