Gather ‘Round is the sequel counterpart to an earlier painting, Burning Desire. While the earlier work addressed loneliness of the environments we abandon when we consistently return to digital depictions of life, this full-circle moment reflects the warmth of community & the feeling of wholeness one receives when they have found “their people”–those they can go deep with in conversation as the sun goes over the horizon.
