view my art during Bridgeport Art Trail Weekend 2025

What will your life be like in three years?

daily prompt 2112

Full of art gallery shows, involvement in new communities, and more creative livin’ and lovin’. While my personal life was rocky, I was growing my art business in baby steps. But now, I’m cranking things up and cranking out work at a more frequent rate.

Last year was my first time visiting the Bridgeport Art Trail, a weekend-long event that occurs in artist studios, galleries, breweries and other businesses annually in Bridgeport, Connecticut. After exploring the open studios last November, I wrote a post about some of my favorite artists from my visits. This year, I’ll be one of the artists whose work will be visible on the trail! Not only that–I’m in three shows with four different works on display.

I’ve been busy with submissions!

Below are the galleries where you can see my work. Though the open studio event is this weekend, the works will continue to be on display through varying dates.

Becoming Plastic

November 6, 2025 – January 17, 2026

City Lights Gallery produces the annual Bridgeport Art Trail. I went sleuthing for information about hosting my own booth (something I haven’t actually prepared for 🙃) and found a call for art on their site for a work that explored plastic as a subject matter. When I started collecting recovered beach plastics at Fairfield beaches four years ago, I had several ideas for how I would one day use my collection. I used this art call as an opportunity to put one of those ideas into fruition, and I was thrilled when I learned the piece was accepted!

Featured artists from the show include Janine Brown and Khyal, whose studios I visited last year. Check the flyer below.

Art Squared

November 8 – December 12, 2025

I very rarely work on square canvases, but since I spent so many years painting without promoting or offering my work up for sale, I was able to pull a fantastic one out of the archives for this show of strictly small, square works.

The World is on Fire

November 7 – December 20th

Much like the Becoming Plastics, I was thrilled when I saw this call! I had an idea for a painting in 2021 (!!) that I told myself I’d try to implement “when my technical skills are better.” I figured that I’d accomplished that feat, so I took on the painting and I love the results. I also submitted a second work, which I was inspired to paint in January when…the world started burning a bit faster 🙃.

These works will continue to be on display through the Arcade’s Winter Art Market.

hope to see you there!
